He had lost both of his parents. He had no stable home, no one to provide for him, and no clear path forward. At an age when most children are learning their ABCs and listening to bedtime stories, Francis was facing challenges no child should have to endure.

Like many of the children who come through our gates, Mary needed more than food and shelter. She needed a family. She needed stability. She needed hope. Most of all, she needed someone to believe in her future. At Lusungu, she found exactly that.

Goodson grew up at Lusungu Children's Home starting at the age of 10. He was one of the first MKA-sponsored kids and he has persevered over the years to pursue education and practical training.
